Let’s Get Ready for Summer Swim Team

AGES 6 AND UP

Dynamo Swim School is offering winter and spring stroke clinics. The stroke clinic is designed for young swimmers age 6 and older that would like to work on the fundamentals of swimming. Swimmers should have prior experience in all four competitive strokes.

To participate in Stroke Clinic swimmers should:

• Be able to swim 25 yards Freestyle with side breathing, no breathing to the front
• Be able to swim 25 yards backstroke comfortably
• Have a legal breaststroke kick
• Have some experience with butterfly (dolphin roll)

We will focus on all four competitive strokes and on the turns associated with each stroke. We will devote two classes to each stroke.

The following are eligible without a tryout:

· Swim School students that are at least Level 6 (grade school) or Level 8 (preschool)

· Swimmers that have been wait-listed for swim team

· Swimmers that have been in stroke clinic previously

All others interested in stroke clinic must tryout.

TIME:

Stroke clinics are offered on Fridays from 4:15-5:15 and Saturdays from 2:00 – 3:00.

Session I:

• Friday Session I: January 11 – March 7 (8 classes)
• Saturday Session I: January 12 – March 8 (8 classes, February 16)

Session II:

• Friday Session II: March 14 – May 9 (8 classes, No class April 11)
• Saturday Session II: March 15 – May 10 (8 classes, No class April 12)

COST:

The cost for stroke clinic is $176. If you register for both the Friday and the Saturday clinics in one session, the cost is $330. There is a registration fee of $10/session.

Maximum Coach to Swimmer ratio is 1:8.

TRYOUTS:

Fridays – 4:00 - 4:15pm

Saturdays – 1:45 – 2:00pm

REGISTRATION:

You must register in person prior to the first day of each new session. No on-line registration is available for stroke clinic.

Participation is limited to the first 32 children to register.
