Introduction to Dynamo Swim School

The Dynamo Swim Club is very proud of its swimmers' accomplishments since the club's inception in 1964. From winning state, regional and national team titles to setting national age group records to achieving American records and world ranked times, Dynamo swimmers have enjoyed success at every level of competitive swimming.

Dynamo Swim School is operated by Dynamo Swim Club as a way to instruct those just beginning as swimmers and those needing further development of their swimming techniques. The knowledge and experience of the coaching staff of the Swim Club is combined with an educator's knowledge of children's physical and cognitive development. The result is Dynamo Swim School.

2.	Examine the policy and release statement, available here. Provide Dynamo with a signed policy and release. ( This is built into online registration. ) It is very important to do this, because all the policies are carefully thought out, and are enforced.
3.	Register in person at the swim center you've chosen, or online -- here for Alpharetta, or here for Chamblee, or here for Summer Satellite.

Dynamo Swim School Performance Standards

Dynamo Swim School is simple, goal motivated, and technique based.

Simple: The swimming skills are organized into nine levels for the preschool ( 3 – 5 year olds) program and ten levels for the grade school ( 6 – 14 year olds) program. The program is a progression. Each level builds upon the skills learned in the previous level. Upon successful completion of either program a child would be able to swim each competitive stroke -- freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, with greater distance requirements for gradeschool.

Goal Motivated: The advancement goals of each level are clearly stated to motivate the student. Each advancement goal gives the student the opportunity to achieve success. From these successes come self-esteem based on the student's own accomplishments.

Technique Based: The proper techniques of swimming (breathing, body position, movement of the arms and legs, timing) should be taught from the beginning. These techniques are incorporated into each level from start to finish.

You may register on-line for classes at Alpharetta, Chamblee, and Satellite lessons.

Payment can be by AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, VISA, or MASTERCARD only, and will require setting up a free account with "PayPal", an internet electronic payment clearing house. If you don't already have a PayPal account, you can get one during the registration process when you are prompted to do so. Or, you can do it anytime, by following this link: http://www.paypal.com/.

Please print and save your e-mail confirmation from PayPal. This will serve as your receipt. You will need this if you need to make schedule changes and to participate in early registration for our Fall Session at the Alpharetta facility. The charge to your credit card will appear as "PayPal/Dynamo", not "Dynamo".

Credits and multiple session discounts can not be used when registering on-line.

If the class you wish to register for says, "This class is full," you may call the appropriate facility to check availability in that class. You will need to register in person if there are spaces available.
